8:15 2022 Review

Arizona was 8-9 last year and just barely hit their over. One bright spot was the 5 defensive touchdowns they scored, on the other side of the ball they weren’t very impressive, with Zach Ertz playing just 10 games but registering the team lead 4 receiving touchdowns.

The most exciting part of their season came in Week 2 when they had the largest comeback win in NFL history, until the Vikings had a larger one later in this season.
19:00 2023 Preview

Most hardcore Arizona fans are completely ignoring the team this year, and actually hoping for a bad year to possibly get Caleb Williams. They also have the Texans’ pick in this coming draft, so if they play their cards right, they can have the 1st and 2nd pick.

Despite the dismay, their safeties are still impressive and should continue to play well along with a solid special teams unit. Their wide receivers are the smallest in the league, which is definitely something to worry about. James Conner had a great soundbite when talking about how excited he is for the future of this team and the staff, probably trying to speak some success into existence.

The Cardinals have no prime time games and don’t have to play on any short weeks. Early in the season, they will be without Kyler Murray, but Colt McCoy could be out for revenge Week 1 in Washington. Seattle and the Rams look like the moment they find a win which falls during Week 6 and 7.

Even if they don’t foolishly make a late season stretch and ruin their draft stock, there is still a chance the Cardinals can find the over of 4.5 with just the strength of schedule. Seeing success is hard to believe in but with a decent defense it’s still possible.

42:18 Final Picks and Thoughts

A bet that could be better to consider is over 1.5 divisional wins. They usually split with the Rams anyway and the Seahawks might be suspect this year so they can easily get a win there. Individual props for players aren’t too interesting due to the competition in the division, but a flyer on James Conner won’t be too bad since he plays so hard. Hollywood Brown also made some quiet noise last year and is technically their number one receiver so it wouldn’t be bad to take a touchdown bet on him.

A sneaky bet is BJ Ojulari to be Defensive Rookie of the Year as he will be asked to do a lot early in his career. Trey McBride will also make some noise simply just from the volume.
